Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
